Guy Coene, with degrees in Computer Science and Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, has a consulting background in the field of knowledge technology.
He developed knowledge solutions for numerous clients in finance, insurance and industry.
Since 1993 he became involved in the knowledge management and technology solutions for Trademark Comparison Systems of Thomson CompuMark NV.
He is founder and Managing Director of AKTOR KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGY NV.

Jan Waerniers has degrees in Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science.
He developed components of the trademark comparison systems for Thomson CompuMark.
Jan is specialized in mathematics, fuzzy logic and various technical knowledge inferencing technologies.
He joined from the start and is a member of the AKTOR-KT Management Team.
Brief history of the Company
Thomson CompuMark offers Global Trademark Solutions. They are part of the IP Solutions group of Thomson Reuters. Thomson CompuMark reached a maturity level of their knowledge management, and acknowledged the need for a dedicated Knowledge Center. This knowledge center continues to nurture and manage the domain knowledge and the knowledge technology applications.
A strong knowledge technology company that could focus on the businesses of Thomson Reuters was the answer to meet this and future challenges. Executive board members of Thomson CompuMark joined forces with Guy Coene, a senior consultant in knowledge technology solutions, to establish AKTOR KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGY NV in December 1998. Colleagues of Guy joined to set up the core specialists team to start the adventure.
AKTOR KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGY NV started operations in January 1999.
